Calculate group depreciation (Assets menu)

Calculate depreciation figures for groups.

The Group depreciation window allows you to view depreciation figures for groups and combinations of groups.

Selecting groupings

The Group depreciation window opens with all items of each grouping selected and no depreciation figures calculated. To view a grouping's figures, select the groups and period for which you wish to see the figures and click the Calculate button:

The Groupings fields allow you to select the group, branch or department you wish to view. Any combination of these is valid.

The Period buttons allow you to specify the period for which you wish to calculate depreciation. The current period will be selected by default. Up to 18 period buttons will be displayed, corresponding to the number of periods in the current year.

The Recalculate Each Asset check box allows you to specify whether the assets selected by your grouping should be recalculated. Each asset's record in the database holds depreciation figures for the current period; selecting this options forces a recalculation for those assets rather than using the values in the database.

image\bm1.gif  If you've specified a period other than the current period all affected assets will be recalculated automatically.

Once you've made your selection, click the Calculate button. All depreciation figures for the groupings and period you've selected will be calculated and displayed.
