Privacy Statement


User level Security:

A user's default name is the same as their logon to Windows. Where several people use the same computer, each may use their own name to logon to this software. There is no need to create a record for each user, as this record is created automatically the first time a new name is used in the logon screen. The first time version II is run, the user is added as the Administrator, security level 10A (All). A default user is also set up, at a default level of 10A.

If no security is desired, nothing else need be done, as the default password is blank. If security is desired, add a password to the adminsitrator user, and set appropriate levels for the default user. Everytime a new user logs on to Fixed Assets, a new user is created with no password, and security is inherited from the 'default' user. If the default user is deleted by mistake, the software will re-create the default user with the highest security settings.

Only the highest level administrator (10M) may change user authorities. The fields in the user dialog box are as follows:
User: User name.
Description: Full name.
Password: to ensure security.
Security (0-10): The level of security.
Every menu option can have a set level of security.
Tick Boxes: These can be used to set the appropriate access to menu options in different functional areas.
Notes: Security options will be progressively added to this software as the release is finalised

Current Security Levels in the software: (under review)

Security: A10 is Administrator

Options: (All) - default - lower 'frame' is not visible & all options are active.

Reports: 1,2: All Lists (form based context reports),. 3+: All reports

Service: 1: View, 2: Maintain details, 3+: Maintain service History

Maintenance: 1: Can View, 3: Can Add Additions/Disposals/New Assets, 5: Can delete Additions/Disposals,
6: Can Delete assets.

Period Expense: 1-4, View, 5+: Can Store Period data (Month end)

Depreciation: 3+ Can View,. 8 Annual rollover

Company: 1-4: Can change company, create backups, 5: Can create new company(MC only) Compact database, Restore Backups, 6: Can change company registration details, 8: Can change company options.(rules)
